Christians:
God wants unity in the body of Christ for many purposes, coming against false teachings/doctrines is one of them:
Colossians 2:2 "that their hearts may be encouraged, being knit together in love, and attaining to all riches of the full assurance of the understanding, to the knowledge of the mystery of God, both of the Father and of Christ."

Colossians 2:4 "Now this I say lest anyone should deceive you with persuasive words."

Christians be aware:
"That we from now on be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;" Ephesians 4:14
"Therefore be careful how you walk, not as unwise men but as wise, making the most of your time, because the days are evil." Ephesians 5:15-16

Playful Day

Spokane River

Jason took this picture of the Spokane River when it was at one of it's highest points this week. The sign of the fish can normally be seen with a "warning" sign beneath it and the post in the ground. Well, just a day ago we could see the word "warning" on the sign just beneath the fish, so the river has started to decrease in its water level. We also saw that the road, while still blocked off, was no longer completely covered with water on Upriver Drive, however, the Centenial Trail was still covered with water. So far no rain the past two days, hopefully it stays that way. Seeing as we live on Upriver Drive, we've got a front row veiw and while we're grateful we're at a high enough elevation that any further flooding shouldn't affect us much we're praying for the sake of our neighbors that the river continues to receed. Have a blessed week. Jason &Tiff

It's your choice

Photo by Tiffany Renee Phillips Roses are red, violets are blue, here's some pretty pink tulips just to cheer you!
Sometimes when things don't seem quite right perhaps we just need to tweak our perspective just a bit.
Happiness is a choice! Praise God! Don't let your circumstances steal your joy.
"but in everything give thanks..." Phil. 4:6

True Freedom

CAUTION: Strong images! Use discretion before clicking play:(... children/minors: it is highly recommended that you get parental supervision/permission before pressing the play button)

Jesus Christ is faithful to deliver us from all forms of death: Lust, mammon, alcohol, eating disorders, suicide, depression, even drug addictions. God can replace all forms of destruction with life if we call on Jesus alone. If you're in need, know God and his followers truely love you and desire to see you walk in His abundant life and be free from all chains of bondage that seek to destroy you and your life. Get Christian counseling and in a safe, Bible based church, don't remain isolated, stay connected at all costs, make Him the Lord of your life and ask Him to forgive your every sin then let Him and those who know Him guide you to and thru the deliverance you need. Psalms107:20 "He sent His word and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions."

Memorial Day

Many remember exactly where they were on that dark Tuesday morning. September 11, 2001 is just one of many times the lives of innocent men and women were lost because of radical terrorists. Today as we think on how none of us desires war may we remember those who sacrificially have given and continue to risk their very lives for our safety and protection and for the safety and protection of other innocents around the world. If it were not for so many U.S. soldiers stationed around the world, not only would there many more innocent lives lost, but our very lifestyle and freedoms that we are privelaged to enjoy may be in jeapordy. May we never forget that our freedom has been purchased by the blood of those who have fought, protected, and even given their lives to serve this country and our world abroad.

Dear Heavenly Father, you are so gracious and merciful, please release ministering angels to guard all on duty this day who continue to seek and choose life. Be with the families who have loved ones away from them at this time and cover those who are so precious to us in the blood of Christ that they might be preserved for their time in destiny to choose you and serve you that they may enjoy the freedom in the abundant life You've given us. As You've said we're given a chance to choose in this lifetime life or death, blessing or cursing as illustrated in Deut. 30:19. May we choose life. In Jesus Mighty name, Amen.

Thank you to everyone who has served and is continuing to serve in all the military forces for the sake of life and also to those in the medical, and life-giving feilds (firefighters, EMTs, ambulance workers, police force, hospital staff, etc.) on the homefront.

Spring in Spokane

I love nature. I took these pictures in and around Spokane this week. In spite of the Lilac City's somewhat harsh and generally abnormal weather, Spring has sprung! Even if it took almost being on the verge of summer to get here! May showers bring May flowers! ;)

Maintaining Deliverance

Sometimes the things that were meant to break us, make us. Life blossoms amidst trials and adversity, if we but choose life: "This day I call heaven and earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live" Deut. 30:19
Photo by Tiffany Renee Phillips We are encouraged to continue to renew our minds with the Word of God: "And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God." Romans 12:2 The apostle Paul admonishes us to keep our focus: "Do not fret or have any anxiety about anything, but in every circumstance and in everything, by prayer and petition (definite requests), with thanksgiving, continue to make your wants known to God. And God's peace [shall be yours, that tranquil state of a soul assured of its salvation through Christ, and so fearing nothing from God and being content with its earthly lot of whatever sort that is, that peace] which transcends all understanding shall garrison and mount guard over your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. 8For the rest, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is worthy of reverence and is honorable and seemly, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely and lovable, whatever is kind and winsome and gracious, if there is any virtue and excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think on and weigh and take account of these things [fix your minds on them]." Philippians 4:6-8 We must also renew our minds by keeping in mind prayer is our greatest weapon and casting down any thoughts that do not line up with the Word of God: "For though we walk (live) in the flesh, we are not carrying on our warfare according to the flesh and using mere human weapons. For the weapons of our warfare are not physical [weapons of flesh and blood], but they are mighty before God for the overthrow and destruction of strongholds, [Inasmuch as we] refute arguments and theories and reasonings and every proud and lofty thing that sets itself up against the [true] knowledge of God; and we lead every thought and purpose away captive into the obedience of Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One)," 2 Corinthians 10:3-5 Amplified
One of the surest ways to maintain deliverance is to specifically rebuke any thought that is not defined by the Word of God in the name of Jesus. In addition use the example of Christ who spoke saying "It is written:"(reference gospels) applying the appropriate scripture for any unholy thought. Example: "I feel defeated" but it is written: "But in all these things we are more than conquerors, through him that loved us." Romans 8:37

Happy Mothers Day

Photos by Jason & Tiffany Phillips

After a wonderful day of praise and worship where God spoke a word over me "I will write my Word on the tablets of your heart" Jason took me on the gondola ride over the Spokane Falls. It was peaceful and beautiful.

Zzzzz...

Triston, every time I nanny you, you bring joy to my heart. It is so wonderful with a later schedual to see you reach for Jason when he gets home. You are a blessing to all around you.

Don't Quit!

"Don't quit when the tide is lowest,
For it's just about to turn;
Don't quit over doubts and questions,
For there's something you might learn.

Don't quit when the night is darkest,
For it's just a while 'til dawn;
Don't quit when you've run the farthest,
For the race is almost won.

Don't quit when the hill is steepest,
For your goal is almost nigh;
Don't quit for you're not a failure
Until you fail to try.
-Jill Wolf

"Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him, endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God." (Hebrews 12:1-2, NKJV)

Silly fun

You are a sweet kid with a tender heart, thanx for a silly day! Remember "God is not dead!" He's Alive! and heavens gates are open wide! -Love, Tiffany

Blessings for His people

God’s Powerful Promises
Here are some powerful promises from God’s Word to help you pray for your family and loved ones.
His promise for Family
“From everlasting to everlasting the LORD’s love is with those who fear Him, and His righteousness with their children’s children.” Psalm 103:17
His promise for Health
“The prayer offered in faith will restore the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. … Pray for one another, so that you may be healed. The effective prayer of a righteous man can accomplish much.” James 5:15-16
His promise for Finances
“My God shall supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:19
His promise for Deliverance
“The Angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear Him, and He delivers them.” Psalm 34:7
His promise for Protection
“The LORD is my rock, my fortress, and my savior; my God is my rock, in whom I find protection. He is my shield, the strength of my salvation, and my stronghold.” Psalm 18:2
His promise for Salvation
“What man among you, if he has a hundred sheep and has lost one of them, does not leave the ninety-nine in the open pasture, and go after the one which is lost, until he finds it? … There will be more joy in heaven over the one sinner who repents than over the ninety-nine righteous persons who need no repentance.” Luke 15:4,7
His promise for Assurance
“This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us – whatever we ask – we know that we have what we asked of Him.” 1 John 5:14 – 15
The Lord delights in us fearlessly coming into His presence, and He will bless you in miraculous ways [any time you call on the name of Jesus Christ according to His will over your life and that of others.]
